You have heard the UT slogan – “What starts here changes the world…” We actually believe it is true – because Austin is a city full of energy, talent, creativity and dogged determination. It is a city that we believe is home to the next generation of culture shapers and creative minds that will impact people throughout the United States and the world. We also believe that Jesus Christ is the most vibrant, creative and alive person we can know and have relationship with. Therefore, we have a desire to introduce the people of Austin to Jesus Christ.

Our vision is to be a spiritually vibrant community of culture shapers that reaches Central Austin with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ.

We are very excited to announce our move to La Zona Rosa. La Zona is a landmark music venue and bar in downtown Austin having played host to many well-known musicians and performers. It is a part of the musical and entertainment identity of Austin and we get to meet there every week to explore what it means to know and follow God through Jesus Christ.

Here at The City we believe that a church is so much more than a building or an institution. It is a movement of people, experiencing life together in a genuine pursuit of the living God. We believe in the life changing reality of Jesus Christ, and we want to be a community that is a blessing to our city and serves the community in tangible spiritual and practical ways. Our mission is to help every person in central Austin come face to face with Christ’s love and redemption.
